The Democrats troubled "waters"

Well, well so much for "civility". So John Kerry does not want the Tea Party to have "equal time " in the media? Also Maxine Waters wants the Tea Party to go "straight to Hell"? Sorry Mr Kerry  the Tea Party has every right under the CONSTITUTION to express their views as YOU did about Veitnam. Hate to break it to ya -Ms Waters the decision to send anybody "to Hell" is not yous to decide. I could laugh at these bitter antics but what is happening to America is no laughing matter. We are facing a National dept of OVER 14 trillion, huge unemployment,and the "Big Brother" tax-n-stein spending spree has brought this Nation to the very brink of economic oblivion. The Tea Party as well as conservative GOPers are giving the clarion call to return America to fascal responcibility and common sense To really see who are the ones who want prosparity and see who are the ones ruining this nation just see who are the ones who want the insane waseful spending to stop and who wants it to continue..It is as simple as that. The result of last years mid-term elections were proof positive Americans want a DIFFERANT direction than the disasterous one that the Democrats have been leading. The rocks of economic shipwreck are now looming before us--it is not too late to change "course' Last years elections were a start---NOW ON TO 2012!!The can of WHOOP(you know what) has been opened-the giant  is AWAKE -and WILL VOTE!!BANK ON IT!!

Irene eyes the East Coast

As I type this post Hurricane Irene has pounced on the Bahamas and has set her eyes on the East Coast...espcially my state North Carolina. Many have heard about the earthquake (5.8 on the richter scale) that hit Mineral VA--and yes we felt it here! I am not worried about Irene-I KNOW who rules the weather but we must prepare. We have been thru Isabel and Floyd and we will go thru this as well. Me and Mrs Crossbow are stocking up and Wal-Mart will be getting a LOT of buisness!!From what I see on the wheather Channel Irene is now a catagory 2 and is expected to be knocking at our door this weekend as a catagory 3. I will be in Church tonight and I know we will be all united in prayer in this situation and for all involved. I solicit everyone to join us!!  God bless you and I will be posting again after the storm.

Revere DID warn the British

He warned them they would..LOSE!!! Sarah Palin was not only historically correct in what she said but she was right in the spirit in which Paul Revere spoke to the British. I recommend a book: "Paul Revere's Ride" by David Hackett Fisher (Oxford press). The chapter intitled "the capture"  was espcially exciting to read!!! I cannot directly quote from the book but when Paul Revere was captured by a British patrol the night of April 18th 1775 he did warn the patrol that he already warned the town of  Lexington and that their lives would be in danger if they hung around much longer The British got really nervous and Yes, the Lexington town bell was ringing very loudly! I am just amased at how quickly the LAMEstream media pounced on Palin. Did it ever get into their heads that Palin was right? There is always a problem when you rush into things. Remember when the press lamblasted Palin for her campagn ads? WHERE was the coverage of the DEMOCRATIC ads that featured canadate JD Heyworth in the scopes of a sniper rifle? The press has said that Palin was re-writing history--WRONG! If anyone is re-writing history it is the ones who are claiming that America was not founded as a Christian nation. Hey-the Constitution says that we have the "blessings" of Liberty--WHERE does that Liberty  (and our rights) come from? the government? I think NOT. The Presidental election is just around the corner...It is always good to be on the right side-especially in history--just read the side of Sarah Palin's bus.

bin Laden chapter...OVER!!!

Right after the brutal terror attacks on 9/11 President George Bush proclaimed WE will not fail. Well WE DID'NT!!The recent dispatch of terror master Osama bin Laden was WAY overdue. All across the free world celebrations are happening and terror leaders are losing sleep. This is a magor blow to al-quada and a magor embarrassment to the Pakistan government. I do not believe for one minute that Pakistan did not know he was there!! They built the compound!!!(probably with our money) The bottom line here is freedom was defended and justice was served courtesy of US Navy SEALs. This is really one of those moments where there are no "red" states or "blue"states. We are the UNITED STATES!The terriors who hate us could not care less if we are Rebublican or Democrat--conservative or (pause for effect)...liberal. The terrorists hate us because we are a FREE PEOPLE and we intend to remain free....PERIOD! It is about time to put some differences aside and  puts hands together for America. When God made  us he made all hands. Those who dispise our Constitutional Liberties have no clue of the "stuff" we Americans are made of. We will come together for this country. If those outside our borders do not believe that I have a history lesson for you. An enemy who attacked us at Pearl Harbor found out real quick what happens when a UNITED country awakens---Osama bin Laden found out on May 1st. The welcome news of the succesful mission ,hoever is just a part of a much larger book with new pages being written everyday. For America and those who love her the future is very bright with many more pages to read. For Osama bin Laden...his sad chapter is OVER!

The candle...is LIT!!!

Darkness...be...afraid...be VERY  afraid! Because the candle is now LIT!!! Crossbow's corner is now Crossbow's CANDLE. I have changed the name but the message is STILL the same. When (now former) Nancy Pelosi snuffed out the lights and killed the microphones she showed all of America what has been happening for a long time now: There are those who do not care about working for the American people and just want to run things THEIR way.....WELL. I have the election results from last November that speak loud and clear what Americans think of the Democrats direction!! Even now the Dem controlled senate is balking about around efforts to curb wastefull spending and "dingy" Harry Reid is pointing to the GOP!! He should look behind him at the Democrat controlled senate if he really wants to know who is to blame if the shuts down again! The National dept is now OVER 14 Trillon and the Dems are fighting over even the modest cuts in spending!I wish this was a April fools joke the Dems are pulling on us but sadly, No. The National dept is NOT going any lower unless serious cuts are made and made NOW!! I give credit to the GOP newbloods supported by the TEA (Taxed Enough Already) party for their historic efforts to DO SOMETHING!. We will see what is going to happen --in the meantime This light is gonna shine and help everyone to see and to avoid the dagerous rocks now looming before us...before it is too late.

Time 4 courage time 2 SHINE!!

I remember not so long ago when (now FORMER) House speaker Nancy Pelosi snuffed out the lights of the House and killed the microphones....darkness and silence. The Republicans courageously pressed on doing the work for the American people in spite of this blantant attempt to silence opposition and plunge us into the new  dark ages...literally!!Now with the very real possibility of another government shutdown it is again the democrats who are on their power trip by not even working with the GOP on this cost-cutting bill. The bill the house just passed is not perfect but it's a start! The Democrats are so addicted to the gravy train they cannot see the train wreck now looming ahead. Conservatives in the GOP and the Tea Party have been tring to "shine the light" of reason on out of control spending by this 'Tax-n-stien" government and the results of the elections last November are proof that the American people want a different direction than the one the "democrats of darkness" have been pushing on us. The title of my blog has been re-named "crossbow's candle" because no matter how thick the darkness may be it cannot extinquish the light of the smallest candle.NOW is the time to SHINE and have COURAGE no matter WHO wants to snuff out the lights and kill the microphones!!! What will happen when March 4 comes about? We have one party that wants to save this nation from the train wreck now looming ahead and we have another party that wants out of control spending to continue and to HELL with the consequences...which will it be? in 9 days we will find out.

Courage on the Corner

Daniel Hernandez heard the shots. Even though he was 30 feet away and around the corner he rushed to the aid of his boss congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. Nearby a 61 year old Tucon resident grabbed the gun magazine whyle two men tackled the gunman. This horrific event that happened this past saturday  was senseless. A insane act of vilonce by a deranged indavidual who chose to commit this terrible crime. The blame is on HIM and HIM alone. To point to the tea party or Sarah Palin is a cowardly move to slander when the indavidual chose his actions himself.What we already know about this guy is that he has had major problems in his past and even his college professor was afraid for the saftey of his class. Even though this terrible event happened we must RESIST the urge to shrink back and be afraid to speak out on social issues. We have seen the positive impact of peacefull townhall meetings and events  like "congress on your corner" must go on as well as  PEACEFULL civil debate on all social issues. This country was not founded by people who were afraid of bullies. It is when we stand up to those who would try to intimidate us to silence that the courage shows . I can think of one who has done just that---his birthday we observe this coming monday January 17th..The latest report on congresswoman Giffords condition is that she is "holding her own" ----we wish much more than that--she can beat this  and make a FULL recovery! America is watching and praying.

The newest movie from the Dreamworks team is BRILLIANT!The stars of the movie-Willl Ferrell,Tina Fey, and Brad Pitt dazzled as much as the digital animation. Little did I know is when I took my son to see it I would leave the theatre with a blog post idea. During the movie the news reporter character (played by Tina Fey) says: "As long as there is evil good will rise up agenst it"----this phrase is repeated during the movie and is 100% true..because THAT is excactly what happened this past election!All during the time before election day ordinary Joe the plumber Americans have raised their voices over many concerns only to have them fall largely on deaf ears. At townhall meetings and at tea party rallies from coast to coast Americans have pointed out (in great detail I may add) their concerns about government run heath care, spending  and excessive taxes  but this Democrat run congress just went on their merry way--bacically saying to Hell with what the American people want. The result was the shellacking on election day. In this Thanksgiving season I am truly thankful for many things--one of them is the freedom we have to make our choices. In the movie "megamind" the main character becomes the hero. This year we have many heroes--those who pledged to help save this nation with common sense solutions and the all who exercised their right to VOTE!I want to wish everyone the BEST this holiday season! By the way --speaking of common sense -- there is one who has risen to the task and the name of this person Tina Fey knows very well....Sarah Palin!.......Palin 2012?? We will see.

Liberty Lesson time...again

In 1773 a group of American Patriots sent a very real message to Britain about their unwanted TEA....In two weeks we will do the same thing to the party of Nancy Pelosi, Obama and "dingy" Harry Reid!!!!Obamacare was opposed by OVER 60% of Americans and STILL they RAMMED IT!!--Who could forget House speaker Nancy Pelosi's words: "we must pass the bill so you can find out whats in it"-----YEAH RIGHT!!!!How important is these elections?? Well, let me answer the question with another---what type of country do we want after November---North or South Korea?? Make no mistake--the direction many in Washington want to take America is as plain as the law of Obamacare--the government literally forcing us to buy heath care. Constitutionall the federal governmen CANNOT force us to buy ANY goods or services. 20 states have lined up to fight this assalt on our Constitutional liberty and a federal judge has recently ruled the lawsuit can proceed. It is not enough just to talk---we have heard ENOUGH of the kool-aid laced tea from this Democratic controlled congress!!The very future of our nation as a Constitutional Republic is literally at stake----even now more plans are being forged FOR US behind the closed doors of this congress will we allow this to happen?---will it be WE the PEOPLE--or us the government? It is very clear  desicions were made by this congress and white house enough TEA!-----I believe it is Liberty Lesson time again...class is in session November 2.

Bracing 4 Hurricane Earl

As I type this Hurricane Earl (catagory 4) is taking aim at the outerbanks of my state North Carolina. Capr Hatteras is gonna get a good piece of it and I Know I am gonna feel the effects of Earl's swipe here in Elizabeth City. I can remember when Hurricane Isabel came to visit not so long ago and who can forget Hurricane Floyd? I rember seeing a sign in a store that said "we've been FLOYDED"! The key to getting thru these things is preparation. Me and my family here are already getting our "Hurricane kits" together. From what I can see on the whether channel the storm will be knocking at our door this Friday morning. I just request everyones prayers that this will pass with minimum damage and no loss of life. We know that there is one who RULES the waves and ALL wheather that has said "peace be still" to a storm----and the storm OBEYED him (Matthew 8:23-27).

Over 3000 Americans.

A few weeks from now will be the 9th anniversary of the Ialamic Terrorist attack in New York City. On that day over 3000 free Americans were mass-murdered by ruthless thugs who were carring out a very detailed prepaired plan of attack. This attack was carried out--in their own words: in the "name"of islam. Now, this building--with questionable motives-is being porposed near the site? and House speaker Nancy Pelosi has questions on who is OPPOSING  IT? I can think of over 3000 reasons to oppose it!! She should talk to the families of 9/11 if she wants to get a clue and the facts!!Just think--during the height of World war two the Imperial Japanese proposing to build a :shrine" at Pearl Harbor!!or Nazi Germany building their museum in Autwitz. What many in the sorry excuse we have for news reporting today are (perhaps purposely) not telling you that in islamic teaching you are supposed to build a mosque at sites of muslum "conquest'. I openly challenge any "news" reporter to report on THAT. What I am getting to is simply this. There are those who do not like the precious God given Liberties that we have in this nation. There is an ideology of hatred that is out to subjagate all to their sinister goals---this war was not declared by us-it was declared ON us by those who hate our God given LIBERTY! I truly believe we must RALLY again for the precious  God given LIBERTIES that are on constant attack. This issue is NOT about being "tolerant" I challenge any polititician to walk down the street of an islamic country with a Bible in their hand  and see how "tolerant" they are. The issue near ground zero is about 3000 innocent Americans and the feelings of families that are still dealing with it!It is also about HONORING the MEMORIES of all who peaeished in that terrorist attack.. Many are giving their reasons for this building----I can think of over 3000 reasons agenst it!!

Voight on target with Obama letter

In his open letter to President Barack Obama -Jon Voight has proved that he is more than an accomplished actor...he is also a leader. Citing several leadership failures from the treatment of Israel to what is happening in Arizona Voight expresses what many in America are thinking conserning the direction this Democratic led Washington is taking us. We have a National defict of 13 TRILLION and the spending programs are going forward like everything is OK. Things are NOT OK!!! This nation is approaching a Grand Canyon with the democrats in the engineers room!! We have Obamacare where our indavidual liberty to choose is now history, we have a so called "financial reform" bill gives the government the power to seize any fivancial institution practacally at will, AND Arizona is under seige not just from the broken borders. I know that many agree with Mr Voight in his letter but with the politically correct crowd dominating Hollywood few are speaking up. There is a saying that goes: "If now now...when? If not us WHO???"Now is the time to speak up and stand up! The November elections may be down the road a ways but for me they are here already!!To borrow a phrase from a past election : CHANGE IS COMING!! America has seen enough of what Obama and the Democrats have done and will make choices of their OWN this November.  I know that many will also say that Mr Voight's letter does not speak for them..that is fine. Everyone has the right to their own opinion, BUT as for me he speaks LOUD and CLEAR!! Thank you Mr Voight...you do not stand alone.

Dennis Hopper's "forgotten"role

Dennis Hopper who sadly passed away this past Saturday is remembered in many roles. Most  famous of course was his role of the disillusioned biker in 1969s "Easy Rider".One role he played in his early carreer-but is seldom mentioned -is the role he played on the Twilight Zone episode entitled "He's Alive". In this episode Hopper plays a searching young man named Peter Vollmer who is duped by a mysterious stranger in the shadows. This stranger wants him to be "strong" as he speaks condemning "weakness" and pointing a bony fingerto the "enemy"...the Jews. Does this sound familiar? Yes, the "stranger" is none other than the socalist monster Adolf Hitler.  Tragically, the episode does not end well for Mr Vollmer. I share this not only because of the sad passing of Hopper but the message in the twilight zone episode--and that meassage is IT CAN HAPPEN HERE!!! Right now a cross was taken down from a Veterans memorial in Califiornia's Mojove desert. We have a Congress passing a "health" care law that MANDATES every American to buy...or else. Most recently this Democratic controlled congress passed a finanical "reform"bill that gives the government the power to seize any finanical institution practically at will. Is the "man in the shadows' now lerking in Washington???America is now losing our precious God -given freedoms on the alter of false security, we have spending by the government so great it has pushed our economy to the very brink of collapse, and this government wants to spend more and have more controll. In many ways the horror is indeed happening here. In the twilight zone episode it was too late for Mr Vollmer---it is NOT to late for America!---On to November.

why fear 2 peices of pipe?

It was a memorial to Veterans who have paid the supreme price for our God given liberties--just two pieces of pipe that formed a cross in the  Mojove desert. Yet, vandals have saw it fit to remove it from on top of the hill where it stood for decades. Regardless of how one may feel about the recent Supreme courts ruling that said the Veterans Memorial cross can stay there is no excuse to vandalise the cross. What are "they" afraid of??Could it be the fact our country was founded on the Bible??or could it be that "they" are a part of a larger effort to "wipe' any public expression of faith 'off the map"??. Just a few weeks ago we as a nation observed the Natiional Day of Prayer--and yet a federal judge saw it fit to say it was "unconstitutional" Has this judge looked at what is above the supreme court? Soon it will be Memorial Day. I will be going to Arlington with fellow VFW vets. I just wonder if those who took the cross from the Mojove desert have any clue of how our we got our liberty. The founding fathers of America knew good and well where liberty came from---ABOVE. The facts do not change because of cruel vandalism!!The Memorial was just two pieces of pipe--BUT what it represented was the most important thing---LIBERTY! I know I will be thinking of this on Memorial Day-many Americans will as well as fellow vets. I wonder what the vandals will be thinking.

The cross...STANDS!!!

On a rocky hill not so far away STILL stands an "old rugged cross"!!!Dispite efforts by the ACLU (and other groups) to remove it the Veterans memorial cross in California's Mojave Desert .. is staying put. In a 5-4 ruling the Supreme Court has refused to remove the 6-foot cross that is atop a remote rocky outcropping in California's Mojave National Preserve. The cross has stood on Sunrise Rock since 1934,put there by the Veterans of Foreign Wars as a memorial to Americans who paid the supreme sacrifice during "the great war". My grandfather served in that war, my dad was on a "tin can" during World War 2 , I myself am a US Navy vet who served during the cold war. There are so many efforts to wipe any reminders of this nations rich Christian heritage off the map. Earlier a federal judge ruled that the National Day of prayer was "unconstitutional". HOGWASH!! The Constitution clearly states we have the "blessings of liberty" Where does the "blessings of liberty" come from??? They most certainly do NOT come from man or ANY state!! Our founding fathers where untied in knowing where our precious liberties came from----ABOVE!!! This week is the National Day of prayer. In a few weeks Memorial Day will be here. I will be attending several Veterans events as well as VFW events.  YES, I am extremely greatful for the precious freedoms we so enjoy here...thankfully, there is a cross on a rocky hillside to help us remember that freedom is not free...it came with a price. God bless our VETS and God bless America!!!
