The invocation conflict is not about Rick Warren

It is about the Bible. The confict centers on the word of God that Pastor Rick (and this blogger) fully believe in and is God's answer to the troubles in this crazy mixed up world. Warren is the target because the true light is shining and the darkness "comprehenth" it not (John 1:5).This culture war that is getting bigger and louder. The left just cannot stand anyone who has the guts to stand up for what is truly good and right for this country. Even as I write this post their are efforts to stop Warren from praying using the "church and state" arguement. The man is gonna say a prayer here! This is free speech and Pastor Rick has been invited to say the prayer-he is in his full rights under the constitution to do so. If the opponents do not want free speech there are many countrys that would be very happy to have them!!!When you turn on the light switch it is not the light that runs away and hides--it is the darkness. The left hates Pastor Rick because he is courageously shines the true light of Gods word that says marriage is a union between a man and a woman. This blogger hopes that Pastor Rick stands and prays becuse heavenly eyes of a great cloud of witnesses will also be watching.

Full Victory!! in Gaza- for Israel and all the free world

In 2005,  Israel vacated Gaza and dismantled all the settements in the Gaza strip. The whole world watched as the thugs of Hamas swooped in and preseded to trash synagoges and anything jewish. There was even a greenhouse (paid for by American Jews) that could of grown food for the palistinian people but that to was trashed. Instead of importing investors to Gaza, the Hamas gangsters brought the guerrilla-warfare goons of the Iranian Revolutionary guard.Instead of launching economic projects Hamas launched rockets. Where is the so called "most trusted name in the news" when Hamas is launching rockets into Israel? Where is the so called "united nations" when leaders of Arab states slam Isreal for defending themselves but are "loudly silent" about the terror rocket attacks? If the UN really wants to find out who is the bad guys are  in this all they need to do is to follow the Hamas rocket trails. Israel must win the victory in this not only for themselves but for the whole free world.

So much for "tolerance" and "diversity" as far as the cultural left in this country is concerned. The invitation of evangelical pastor Rick Warren to give the invocation  on January 20th was a very good choice. What surprises me (it should not have) Is all the nasty turmoil over this choice. How dare the followers of "the chosen one" question his judgment??This just reveals where the true hate is coming from and you just do not have to look very far. Just mention Rush, Sean Hannity or any conservatives name and watch the reaction you get. Rick Warren is the pastor of  the Saddleback evangelical mega-church in Lake Forest California. Strongly pro-life,pro-family Warren supported proposition 8 ballot initative that amended the California constitution to define marriage as a union between a man and a woman. Warren is being called a "hatemonger" and" intolerant" because of these positions. The people voted and the people made their choice.It is "we the people"  that are supposed to  govern here in this country. It does seem that there are those in California who do not believe in "we the people" but I will save that for another post. This latest squrmish is the lastest in a widening culture war we have within this country. This attack agenst Warren is a part of those who try to intimidate and villify anyone who differs from their "adgenda". In the opinion of this blogger when you turn on the lights it is not the light that flees--it is the darkness. The left and their media allies may seem to look like "goliath"(and many sound like him too) but I hope Warren and others will continue to hold up truth to excercise their right to do so not fearing the "hotair" goliaths.

A Christmas message...Fear not!!

Little did the shepherds realize that holy night that their lives were about to be changed forever. I bet they were thinking"nothing exciting ever happens out here when we have to watch these darn sheep".You can imagine their schock as the angel of the Lord showed up with the message: Fear not :for,behold'I bring you good tidings of great joy'which ahall be to all people.For unto you is born this day in the city of David a saviour' which is Christ the Lord. (Luke 2 :10-11) It can be so easy to forget such good news as the rush of the season sweeps us all along! But I am writing to wish one and all the blessed happeness of this Christmas message that Jesus truly came into the world-to be that Saviour for all who believe. I will be spending Christmas with mrs. Crossbow and plenty of turkey!!!God bless all of you and from my heart I wish Merry Christmas and  a happy new year!!!

I believe it is that time...again!!

This past Dec 7 was the 67th anneversary of the "day of infamy" On that morning Naval air forces from the empire of Japan attacked our forces on Pearl Harbor. This forever shattered the myth that somehow all the nations of the world could get along under a so called leage of nations.I was't around that morning but I remember another morning very well--that morning was Sept 11, 2001. What happened after these attacks is what I am posting about. Right after the attack on Pearl Harbor something happened in our country--we woke up!! In the words of the japanese admarial " I fear all we have done today is to awaken a sleeping gaint---filled with a terrible resolve" YES!! we were! This notion morphed into the Incredable HULK with a blowtorch!!We became a Juggernaught the likes of the world never seen before.and the world saw what can happen when a democracy is pushed to far.. Right after the attacks on 9/11 we had somewhat of the same reaction---for a awyle. The words "let't ROLL" were on bumber stickers and patriotic songs filled the airwaves. Now we have leaders who say "the war is over" and congress talking of cutting our defense by 20%. That really sends a message to our enimies does it not??What I am getting to is simply this: We are a nation at war. Unlike Pearl Harbor our enimy is not a country-per-se but an ideology of hatred that will stop at nothing to carry out its sinester goals.We did not declare it--it was declared on US. Why??because we are FREE. When a group of men in 1776 signed a piece of paper that declared we are "free and independant"-those who do not want us to be free have been at us ever since. I have two nephews-one in in Iraq and the other is in Kuwait who will tell you-straight-the conflict is very real.I truly believe we must fire up this country again for the precious freedoms we hold so dear!!we may not be facing a pirticular country but the ideological war we are engaged in is very real and must be won. Victory in Georgia!! NO "blank checks" for the Democrats.

I am sure when the Democrats won the white house and congress they thought they would just continue to cruise merrily along in getting their fillibuster proof magic number of 60 and their "super magority". WRONG!!!!!In a stunning victory Saxby Chambliss  has won in the runoff election thus, denying the Democrats their  "blank check". This victory gives freash hope for all of us. There is do doupt in this writers mind that the Democrats wanted total power to do as they will with no real chance for opposition by those who differ with what THEY want. There is a word for that -it is called Tyranny!! As long as a free nation can VOTE and choose there will be democracy.Thank God we live in this great nation that we can voice with our vote!!The Revolution has begun!! On to Minnesota!!,  On to 2010, and then on to 2012!!!

and some STILL say "there is NO war on Terror"

I do believe it was John Edwards who said the following words: "there is no war on terror".There is another prominant politician who said the following in a speech at the National Press Club last September: "The President continues to talk about the 'war on terror.' That is simply wrong." The politician who said that was none other than our vice-president elect Joe Biden. Hmmmmmmmm I wonder if Mr Edwards and Mr Biden should travel to Mumbai, India and try to convince people there that there is no war on terror???Close to 200 lives were lost in this evil massacre and we still have those who are buring their heads in the political sand--or do I dare say the sands of policical correctness??Just imagine how it was like tring to warn of the impending attack of the Japanese in 1941-or what it felt like being a Jew in Nazi Germany and no one seems to listen to the warnings untill it is to late? Today we have Hugo Chalvez getting a bear hug and a madman in Iran on the verge of getting a nuclear bomb. It can be very discouraging--but not hopeless. I refuse to give in to that.Not when I know good and well who is truly in charge( Isaiah 41:10). I am also reminded of a poem/song often heard around the Christmas season:  I heard the bells on Christmas day their old familiar charols play  mild and sweet their words repeat of peace on earth good willl to men. (one verse says)-and in dispair I bowed my head "there is no peace on earth I said for hate is strong and mocks the song of peace on earth good will to men- (now read this!) Then pealed the bells more loud and deep God is NOT dead NOR does he sleep--the wrong shall fail-the right prevail with peace on earth good will to men.  (Henry Wadworth Longfellow)

A Thanksgiving Message

Long before they landed on plymouth rock in 1620 the pilgrims were building on the rock of ages. By faith they stepped onboard the Mayflower -fully aware and trusting in an unseen hand.We all know the story of the friendship with the indians and the bountiful harvest that they were all so grateful to God for,but, how many really realize how deep their faith was to pull them thru many great hardships that they faced.At one time the Mayflower almost sunk and they had to shore up the inside of the ship as they sailed thru a storm at sea. Right now here in America we are facing several storms.We have a storm of a bailout crisis, we have a great moral crisis-many don't know what true marrage is,and then there is the matter of the political party now running the white house.A lot to have on ones mind--indeed. In all of this, however,I am reminded of the pilgrims and their great faith. If they can have faith--so can WE.The rock that they were building on still stands true today. It is a tried and true foundation that we can trust 100 and 10 precent. I for one am extreamely thankful for that!! A Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving everyone!!!!!!    Palin  2012

Time for challenge and resolve

First I would like to thank my friend and fellow patriotblogger Kevin (My view from the right) for the fresh inspiration for this post. In 1980 I was a part of the U.S.S Eisenhower battle group on station in the Indian Ocean. The Iranian hostage crisis was in full swing, Mr Peanut was in office as president,andAmerica was looking for a hero. She got one in Ronald Reagan. Shortly-very shortly after it was clear Reagan was elected the hostege crisis ended. Hmmmmmmm could it be that this came about because the bad guys knew that Matt Dillon was coming to Dodge City as the new U.S. Marshall??? Reagan not only knew the range he was no tenderfoot (unlike a certain reciently elected democrat-but I will save those comments for another post).Ronald Reagan inbodied all that we believe in the goodness/hope in America he also knew good and well what it took to keep America strong and free. Was he perfect-No-was he the leader we needed-YOU BET!! As we look to 2009 we can gather hope that what we belive is still alive and true. That cruse changed me in many was-I became a man-and a shellback (crossing the ecuator) But most importantly I knew why we were there. We have now before us many opportunities plus great challenge. A free America with the resolve of liberty will prevail thru the storms. The winds my blow-the rain fall down but the solid rock plus the nation built on it sll stand.                          PALIN 2012

This captain along with his democratic crew at navigation is taking this ship in a "new"direction for "change"as they sail the ship into the "Obama" Zone. Will we be "obsolete" ?

 One of my favorite episodes of The Twilight Zone is entitled :The Obsolete Man. In this episode starring Burgess Meredith and Fritz Weaver a totalitarian Sate rules where Logic is an enemy, and truth is a menace. Romney Wordsworth (Meredith) is on trial -his crime is being obsolete in this society. He is a librarian(a death sentance) and owns a Bible (also a death sentence). Prosecuting for the State is the chancellor(Weaver) who expresses why the State is superior and the likes of Wordsworth are obsolete.Well, I do not want to spoil the plot for those who have'nt seen it yet but in the end we find out who's thinking is truly "obsolete" .This episode is reflective to what is happing right here and now. In our schools we teach we came from monkeys, God is outlawed(thanks to the ACLU)babys are thrown away like garbage because of the madness of abortion, and we have a presidential canadate(and party)that seems hellbent in setting up a  marxcist leaning system to "spread the wealth".I do believe this was tried before and it did not turn out very well. It was called the Soviet Union. We are close people-so close in voting away the very heart and soul that has kept America prosperious and free for over 200 years. The indavidual-with indavidual liberty to forge their own path is in danger in becoming "obsolete" because so many are perfectly willing to have government swoop down-take control and "save" them. Call me old fashioned but I believe very differently.This country was forged in the hearts of indaviduals who knew good and well that their liberty came down from a creator that it and them. The ideology of those who want to change this nation from a constitutional republic to something  else  is truly obsolete because so many countrys that tried totalitarian/socialist society are now on the asheap of history. They fail because there will always be those who will fight for the indavidual  values and liberties that made men free thus, kept  America free for over 200 years. I am  glad to be one of them. I hope and pray that a world like the episode like The Obsolete Man does not come to be. If it does at least we know what is truly "obsolete".

Ron Howard would have you to believe that Barack Obama has the values of mayberry. Sorry, Opie I am not buying it. Here we are a little more than a week to go in this election year and we will find out what type of government we will have. We will have a government led by a war hero and a vice president (who truly believes in mayberry values) or we will have -in my opinon- a government tettering ever closer to the Socialist abyss. Make no mistake--this is it!!America has a choice  to make---I have already made mine- -let's all truly rally for true mayberry values!!!before mayberry truly becomes  a thing of the past.

Obama's "change"-A clear and present Danger.

Just ask Joe the plumber. He thinks what  Obama ment with his "spread the wealth" remark sounded like Socialism.  I agree. It causes me to wonder what other "change" Obama has in  have in mind for us if he becomes president. Just a few weeks ago I was driving home and I caught the end of a radio talk show. The last caller of the day expressed concerns that he had because of rumors of excutive orders prepaired by the ACLU ready to sign after Obama becomes president. If this is true or not remains to be seen however, what I do know of the legal track record of the ACLU causes me great concern of the freedoms that we hold dear from expression of  faith with crosses to free speech issues regarding prayer. The media seems so bent on attacking Sarah Palin with "troopergate" coverage that they just do not see the danger just lurking  right under their very noses. It also could be that the mainstream media knows a lot about Obama's plans they are just not telling us about them----WHY?????

Here we are just a few weeks away from the election and what do we really know about Barack obama from the media??The mainstream media has failed  to inform us on some very serious  concerns that Americans have about this man who wants to be the commander in chief of the most powerful country on earth. Even the peice that CNN dio on Obamas connection with Ayers did little to quel the matter(Please see fellow blogger conservabear"s blog for the full CNN report!!)Contrary to what Mechelle Obama tells Larry King America IS asking many questions---and the voices are getting Louder. What about the vote fraud at acorn?why has'nt Obama come clean with all he knows about the university of Illinois refusal to release records relating to his service to the group connected to Ayers?and what is this I hear about excutive orders prepared by the ACLU just ready to sign when obama becomes president? Yes, you have read correctly--the buzz that I have heard is there are prepared excutive orders that are ready to sign prepared by none other than our friends at the American Civil Liberties Union.Just follow the legal track record of this organization-especially about the Bible , crosses ,and many Ten Commandment monuments -and you will soon find out that there is much reason for this concern. People, we need to rally for the precious freedoms we hold dear in this great country and we need to rally NOW!! There are many who are saying it does not  matter--I don't buy that for a second. This country is STILL the shining city on a hill , the light of freedom is STILL shining and  between now and november you will see a lot  of light from this blog. I promise-here and now- to post all info as soon as I find it. In the meantime we as free Americans must not ever let up in what we are doing.We  cannot trust in the media-it is truly up to us who have the courage to shine the light of truth in an ever increasing darkening world. God bless all of you and God bless America! I know that this post is short ...but it will say a lot. I know there are times when life throws circumstances at you that can weigh you down. I know I felt this earlier this year when my father passed. Dad had a saying that he drilled into me at a eary age--that saying was "all ahead flank...no smoke" It is a nautical term that means put the pedal to the medal and BOOK IT!! This is what we need to do now. Now is no time to allow all of the one sided media to weigh us down with their one man show!!! Now is the time to stroke the boilers, pour on the coal, and not even let up. This election (and our country) are much too important!!!The media can spew out all the crud it wants I do not care how big the media is. It only took one smooth stone to take out Goliath. We have that one smooth stone--it is TRUTH!!!I believe here at Townhall we have some of the greatest freedom writers  around. Let us not give up or even slack in doing this good as we write--The whole world will watch as the gaints fall. All ahead flank...NO SMOKE!!
